Transcript for Episode 6: The wonderful world of AUs with Donnalie Jamnah
In this episode I got to have a truly delightful conversation with educator, storyteller, and instructional designer Donnalie Jamnah (DJ) about why fanfic is important to authors and readers alike. Along the way we touched on some of their favorite fandoms, including our mutual favorite book, Legendborn, before diving into talking about my favorite oneshot anthology series, Modern Merthur AUs by acciomerlin on Ao3.
You can find DJ online at https://donnaliejamnah.com/ and on Twitter and Instagram @talespinningdj.
Talia Franks: Hello and welcome to Into the Archives today. I am here with DJ. DJ is an educator storyteller and instructional designer who uses her background in people work to create art that is compelling and often instructive. They are passionate about community building, social justice and wellbeing.
Talia Franks: She is a mother, a mental health advocate, a black queer artist, and a gigantic nerd. DJ, I’m so excited to have you here. Thank you so much for being on the show.
DJ: Yeah, no, thank you for inviting me. I am super excited as well.
Talia Franks: So do you want to tell listeners a little bit about yourself?
DJ: Yeah, I think you’ve covered a lot of it in the intro, but I guess for my nine to five job, I work with the Pulitzer Center on crisis reporting and their education team and tried to get really great reporting and like under-reported stories and investigative journalism into classrooms.
DJ: And I come to that with a background as a classroom teacher and instructional coach. So I’ve kind of been working in education for almost 10 years now. And so that that’s part of my background. I have a degree and instructional design. And then in the fandom space, I work with Black Girls Create, which is how I know Talia.
DJ: And I work as Community Programs Manager for them. So just trying to build up our community, they’re a community of creatives, help support people and their different endeavors and think of like cool new ways to get folks to connect and network. So doing a lot of networking in both those roles.
Talia Franks: Fantastic. I’m so glad that Black Girls Create brought us together. I’m just, you know, really. Really glad that we’ve gotten a chance to gotten a chance to know each other.
DJ: Yeah, it’s very cool. I mean, even just, I feel like I remember when you were thinking up the idea for this podcast, like what, it was just a concept and now you’re like several episodes in and like have the Patreon and everything going. And so like that, I love this stuff like that. And just being able to support people in their projects and folks have done the same for me.
DJ: And so, yeah.
Talia Franks: Yeah. You were actually my first patron. Do you know? (DJ laughs)
DJ: I love it,
Talia Franks: Yeah you were
DJ: Everyone, if you haven’t, if you haven’t subscribed yet, you said that’s what I was saying. (DJ laughs) (Transition music)
Talia Franks: I’m very excited. Talk to you today about fandom and about fan fiction. So if you want to maybe talk to me a little bit about your relationship with fandom, your first fandom, any current fan works that you’re super interested in?
DJ: I’m trying to think of why my first fandom, technically would be maybe like Disney? You know, for the classic Disney stuff. But I actually, I got like more involved in the sort of fandom spaces in the last five years or so, I guess I’ve always been a pretty big nerd and loved reading superheroes and like some different things that still make up a big part of what I call my fandoms.
DJ: But in terms of doing this in space with other people and like cosplaying and fanfic and all of that, it was like very, very new to me. And I got into that space through Harry Potter which I also read very late in life. And so, yeah, I am. Kind of less active in that particular fandom now, but I think my other sort of big ones will be Doctor Who, even though I’m very glad behind on some episodes, I guess, like I was saying, I, I said before I have this degree in instructional design, I just finished it in December.
DJ: And for the last few years has been very chaotic because it’s like family is school and all that. I feel like I’m behind in everything. But yeah, so the Doctor Who I’m very into all sorts of superheroes, really. So yes, there’s like MCU, but like any type of like fantasy like magic.
DJ: I also really, I’m not, I wouldn’t say I’m part of the Austen fandom, but I do enjoy like Austen Bronte. I do enjoy some good British TV. So yeah, it’s kind of a little bit of everything and it’s kind of, piecemeal, but I think that that’s also fun because I love when someone mentions that they like something and you’re like, oh, I’m into that.
DJ: And they kind of do the thing where they’re trying to feel out like, just how interested you are. And I’m like, no, please tell me everything, but you have to say about I actually want to know. And so that’s pretty cool also. And I’ll, I’ll let you ask the next question after this. I am currently watching Naruto for the first time.
DJ: So there’s a few animes, where I’m like I like Sailor Moon. I liked Dragon Ball a lot when I watched it a few years back, but so yeah, I’m watching Naruto for the first time and I think it’s definitely going to be like a big fandom for me. I was like already very excited to start to get into fanfic (inaudible) you start to get into different things.
DJ: I’ve just, I’m finishing up Naruto now and will start Shippuden soon. So, that’s what a lot of fun. And I’m watching with my partner who like has been a lifelong fan. So that’s pretty fun too.
Talia Franks: Nice. (Transition music)
Talia Franks: The fics that we’re gonna discuss today are I know when we were talking before you had said that you hadn’t seen Merlin in a long time, but you’re interested in Merlin fics.
DJ: Yes!
Talia Franks: So I got a fun Merlin fic for you. And then also the, the Patreon exclusive fic is going to be a Harry Potter fic.
DJ: Okay. I love it. Let’s do that. Oh yeah. Merlin was so good. I need to rewatch it. I just remember feeling like I was in my happy place, through out. (DJ laughs) Throughout watching.
Talia Franks: I think you’re gonna like this one. It’s a modern AU it’s going to be great. But before we talk about the fic, I’m going to tease the fic a little bit. But before we talk about this fic I wanted you to talk a little bit about your relationship with fanfic in the general sense.
DJ: Yeah, so like I was saying. I don’t know, because I think I was a very sort of online person in terms of you know, I was on aim. I was in like different chat rooms and stuff, but for whatever reason I was not in the fandom spaces and I wished that I had been, (DJ laughs) because I wish I had been plugged in so much earlier, but so I didn’t know about Ao3 of different fanfic like platforms until I joined Black Girls Create.
DJ: And I was reading through Hogwarts BSU. I remember I spent, you know, maybe a week or two kind of just like reading through all of it and was like, well, now I want more stuff. And folks were like, here are these sites where you can get all of these fandoms, like all of these crossovers. And so, yeah, that’s kind of how I got into it.
DJ: I’ve written some of my own I think, everything I’ve written so far has been in Harry Potter. Some of it is up on BSU and you can see I’m in the middle right now of writing a fanfic for Legendborn. If folks have read that by Tracey Deonn, I’m very excited about it.
Talia Franks: When you were talking about your fandoms, how, how could you not mention the Legendborn hive?
DJ: Yeah. I’m like, listen, whoever else is trying to build this hive, whoever else is like Bree hive, whatever we’re going to call it. I’m here for it. Let’s do it. I went back and forth. I was like, I don’t know if I want to write the fanfic before the next book comes out. Like maybe we let the author do more with the story, but it’s just been like sitting with me and I keep my brain keeps going back to it.
DJ: So I’m like, I’m gonna try and get it out.
Talia Franks: I love, I love Legendborn so much. (DJ laughs) It’s literally I, so I just, it’s so good. I have I have my own copy that I lent to someone I was so upset that I lent it to someone that I couldn’t have it anymore that I bought a second copy. But then I think I lent that to someone too.
Talia Franks: So then I was like, well, I’ll get myself my, the audio book. And then I was like, well, then I also ordered the paperback just for good measure. And then I also bought a copy for my cousin and also bought a copy for my friend.
DJ: Yeah, no, I’ve, been recommending it left and right. Have definitely bought it for a few people.
DJ: The audio book is amazing. If there are folks that like, you know, for me for the longest audio book was like the only way to get reading done. It’s very, very good. And yeah, it’s just. I dunno. I mean, I could probably do a whole sort of episode on that, but yeah, it made me feel excited about kind of being at the beginning of a fandom cause I feel like I’ve come to so many things late.
DJ: Which is still fun and great. And I, there is something I think of sort of like engaging with some of the characters that like other folks fell in love with very young as an adult that would be like, what is wrong with this person? And they were like, no, this person has been my favorite since I was five.
DJ: And it’s great conversation. But yeah, I think that there’s something pretty cool about engaging, engaging with folks from the beginning. And so that’s really exciting and I’m sure there’ll be more books that I feel that way about in future because there are a lot of great authors and stuff, publishing new stuff.
Talia Franks: Legendborn definitely made me feel excited about reading again in a way I hadn’t been for a long time. (Transition music)
Talia Franks: why do you think that fanfic is important?
DJ: Mm, I mean, I think it’s important in so many ways.
DJ: Right? So on the one hand, for me when I started writing fanfic I had not written anything for such a long time. I was like tired and burnout. And I felt like everything I had to write had to be, you know, the, like the next great, novel or whatever and getting into fanfic and one, seeing some of it is it should be its own standalone published thing.
DJ: But it was just fun. It was fun to write. It was fun to get into. I could play around with rules and other people made and it like unblocked a lot of that for me. So I started writing fanfic and then suddenly I was like writing more poems and like writing other things and being creative in that way.
DJ: And then in terms of reading and engaging with it is like this sort of audience. I think I I’m a person that tends to fall in love with the side characters. Or if not even side characters. Like I dunno, the character is where folks sort of give you just enough where maybe they’re not the full hero.
DJ: Neville is my favorite Harry Potter character has been since first read first book, even like before we even got to the, like, uh, snake killer Neville. Like I was, I was in love with that little boy. And so getting to and that’s actually really, Neville was one of the, like what I generally will search for like female and non-binary is when I read fanfic, the characters I will seek out.
DJ: But yeah, so I think as a reader, I get to see more of some of the characters that don’t get quite as much attention as a series. And those tend to be the characters that I’m drawn to. I get to see different questions and issues explored that either like maybe the author didn’t consider or didn’t have time or didn’t have range.
DJ: And I think you can only fit so much in your book. You know, I, I have yet to write if something was that wide of an audience, but I imagine it’s also fun as an author, you know, to kind of go through and see like what what your characters mean to people and how they bring out like new meaning and things from them so. Yeah, for me, it was like sometimes you want to go back into a world, but you’re not ready to start a reread of the book or whatever else. And it can just be a lot of fun to be able to pull up some fic and engage that way. And it also makes me feel very connected to other people because someone loves this as much as I do. They took the time to write about it and share it and post it up. And I think that, that is important too, because I I talked in another panel recently about like the annoying things that folks will do in different spaces when they sort of like, treat your fandom as like a joke or a punchline type of thing.
DJ: And it’s I mean, if that makes you feel better sure, but I think fandom spaces and things like reading other people’s fanfic is also affirming for me and that yeah, like other people spend time and hours here too.
Talia Franks: That’s really great. I really, I really love that and I completely agree. I also I also really love those those sort of side, but not really side character. Actually the, the secret secret fic, I mean, it’s not really a secret, but the other fic is Neville has a starring role. Just
DJ: Yay (DJ laughs)
Talia Franks: what can I say except you’re welcome. (Transition music)
Talia Franks: So the first fic I have for you today is this fantastic chef’s kiss anthology series called the Modern Merthur AUs and it’s by acciomerlin And it’s just, I love this series so much. Basically the author has a series of one shops that are just a variety of modern AUs that are Merlin and Arthur fics.
Talia Franks: I love it. It’s a whole bunch of really cute AUs in this in this series, it’s got 15 different fics that are all different but are all different AUs. The first three are interconnected and part of their own separate series in addition to being part of the AU series.
Talia Franks: And they’re about Merlin and Arthur as law students. And that series is called Rule of Law. But otherwise the, all the different avenues are unrelated, but they’re all modern eight years of Merlin and Arthur and various situations. And they’re just really good. Basically range anywhere from a couple thousand words to this is it’s called, Let Me Touch Your Fire is 26,000 words. And I just love it. It’s just, it’s so chaotic and beautiful and wonderful. There’s one that’s really great where where, where so there’s there’s a lot of them where like this modern royalty there’s, some of them were like, they’re just where they’re just people going about their days.
Talia Franks: And there’s one of them where it’s modern royalty and Arthur is like reading a bunch of buzz feed style, first tweets.
Talia Franks: And then he recognizes that one of them is from his ex-boyfriend Merlin and he and he reads it aloud. And then that reads that leads to them reuniting. And it’s really cute. It’s called On the Edge. But that’s not actually the one we’re even talking about. I just got distracted.
Talia Franks: We’re not talking about, On the Edge. We’re talking about, Let Me Touch Your Fire. Which the summary for that, his Merlin Emrys, working for Avalon, a covert magical organization, gets assigned the mission to kill Arthur Pendragon, heir to the notoriously anti-magic Pendragon empire. He falls in love instead.
DJ: Naturally, (DJ laughs) as one does.
Talia Franks: So I really loved this fic because it does something that I really love to see in a lot, not just in fanfiction, but in a lot of media where it’s modern it’s taking place in the “real world,” but also magic is real and (DJ mhmms in contemplation) And so the premise is that, Arthur is, he has his bachelor’s degree in physics, but he’s currently getting a graduate degree in Dragonology.
Talia Franks: Because dragons are real, and that’s a
DJ: Yep
Talia Franks: graduate degree that you can get, you can get a degree in Dragonology um and, you know, magic and like warlocks, mages, like those are established things in the world. But Uther is, you know, an anti-magic hater. But basically he’s really super covert about it. Like to the public facing he’s, you know, not actually a bad guy.
Talia Franks: So Merlin, he works for this secret organization called Avalon and his boss Nimueh basically assigned him the task to kill Arthur Pendragon basically to, sweep Uther’s empire out from under his feet, because if Arthur dies, then, you know, Uther will be devastated and it will be easy for them to like swoop in and take over.
Talia Franks: And Merlin, he came to start to work for Avalon because when he was 12, his house was attacked, his father was killed. And his mother had instructed him to hide in a bathroom. And so the Nimueh found him and took him away and told him that both of his parents had died.
Talia Franks: And so then he was raised in Avalon and basically just raised to be an assassin. But so far, the only person that he had ever killed was Cenred, who was the person who had killed his father. And it was all very very dramatic and sad, but it was really traumatic for Merlin. He didn’t really like killing this one person.
Talia Franks: He like really messed him up, but he’s like now determined to prove himself. And so he’s going to kill Arthur. So, the way that he does that is by trailing him. And he decides to sign up for this all the same, like courses, that Arthur is signed up for, so he’s in this Dragonology class and he’s like just staring at Arthur because, you know, he wants to kill him.
Talia Franks: So he’s like profiling him or whatever, but Arthur, he’s like this guy is staring at me. And so it interprets it, you know, a little bit differently. And also then they get paired for this project. And so they have to work on this project together. And it’s just kind of hilarious because Merlin is supposed to be like, stalking him to like kill him or whatever.
Talia Franks: But instead Arthur, like totally approaches him and is like really friendly and wants to be friends. And it’s just kind of hilarious because so like Arthur, like puts his number in his phone. It’s great, I’ll meet you at this time.
Talia Franks: And Merlin just keeps having all these opportunities to kill him. But he’s not really about to kill him at all because like
DJ: Yeah
Talia Franks: they’re becoming so close and like Merlin gets to know like Arthur’s dog, and then like but like on one hand it’s a really adorable romance.
Talia Franks: But on the other hand you know, that Merlin has been assigned to kill him the whole time. But it ends up being a really interesting story because um and the thing is, I don’t usually like the type of stories where one, Like usually when I’m reading a story and one partner is hiding another thing from the other partner it usually really turns me off from the story. Because it, it typically is turned me off stories because it like makes me feel like the relationship is being formed under false pretenses. But the thing that was really interesting about this fic is that Merlin’s whole life is kind of formed under false pretenses because he’s never really able cause he’s been trained as like an assassin his whole life.
Talia Franks: And he hasn’t really been able to live a normal life since he was 12. And so this like lie that he’s living with Arthur, is the first time that he’s been allowed to like truly live outside of this insulated place that he’s been sort of trapped in and it’s really freeing for him.
Talia Franks: And so it really brings him a sense of peace and it’s it gives the impression that that is where he truly belongs more than like the so-called like, truth
DJ: Right, like the lie that he wants to be true.
Talia Franks: Yeah. It’s the lie that he wants to be true. And like in the end, it’s what becomes the truth.
DJ: Yay. That was, I was waiting for it
Talia Franks: at the end of the, so what happens is obviously he doesn’t want to kill Arthur.
Talia Franks: Like he, he decides not to kill Arthur and he’s well, basically, like I’ve got to find an alternate solution. And what he finds out is that, and Arthur also, Arthur knows from get that Merlin has magic, but he finds out like right away because Merlin is just not the greatest assassin in the world.
Talia Franks: He’s not, (DJ says Aww and laughs) he’s supposedly supposed to have the fake name Myles, but he gives away that his real name is Merlin, almost right away. And the thing is, is he finds out that Arthur actually really loves magic because his mother left him a journal about how much she loved magic and left it behind for him.
Talia Franks: And it had a bunch of letters that she had written to him, while she was pregnant, about how she had had like a best friend who was a sorceress and who had taught her to love magic. And it turns out that the best friend was Nimueh. And that the reason she wants to kill Arthur is to, because she hates Uther because, and Arthur, because Arthur killed his mother who was her best friend that she was in love with.
Talia Franks: And it ends up being that Arthur actually had a whole collection of information about how shady Uther was (DJ hmmms) and was planning the whole time to connect to Avalon, to give them all the information they needed to take Uther down. Cause he wanted to take Uther down too!
DJ: Plot twist (DJ laughs)
Talia Franks: Yeah and so Merlin finds all this information and he goes to Nimueh he’s like, Hey, we can like, get rid of this without having to kill Arthur at all. And then she’s no, we still need to kill Arthur. And and then she’s you haven’t actually developed feelings for him. Have you? And then Merlin’s like, no, absolutely not. He’s just some guy that I slept with. And it’s like the worst and I hated reading that bit. (DJ laughs)
Talia Franks: And but then he goes to Lance, who’s like his best friend at Avalon. And like the only person that he really trusts. And he’s you need to look into this cause, cause some things aren’t matching up. And then he fell and that’s when he finds out that Nimueh was like the best friend and, and has all this history.
Talia Franks: And that’s when he also finds out that Merlin’s mother is actually alive and has been the whole time. And Nimueh was just keeping her and Merlin apart because
DJ: Oh no
Talia Franks: Merlin is like the last Dragon Lord and really powerful, and she wanted him. And actually she was the one who had orchestrated to kill his father in the first place.
Talia Franks: And it was all elaborate plot just to steal Merlin. And it’s then of course Merlin gets very upset. And also, sorry, backtrack. I’m telling things out of order at this point before he finds out about his mother being alive is after Arthur finds out that he’s an assassin.
Talia Franks: So Arthur has found out that he’s an assassin and
DJ: Because Merlin told him, or found
Talia Franks: out
DJ: another way?
Talia Franks: Because Morgana found out like Morgana uncovered Merlin’s secret identity. And Merlin’s like, I’m not going to kill you. I don’t want to kill you. I can’t kill you. And then he tries to tell Arthur that he loves him, but then Arthur’s if you say that I will kill you right now because Arthur has him, like at knife point because Arthur got the jump on him because Merlin was really not a very competent in assassin. (Talia laughs)
Talia Franks: And it’s this really intense scene. And then Merlin’s I would never, I could not like I won’t. And then Arthur was just like, go, but then but yeah, so then Merlin finds out his mother is still alive. And then he basically has a panic attack while he’s on the phone with Lance and Lance is well, I have no other option than to call Arthur and send him to go check on Merlin since I can’t do it. (Talia laughs while saying um)
Talia Franks: Cause Lance is like being tailed by all of Nimueh’s people. So Arthur ends up forgiving Merlin and going and checking on him. And then they go to go confront Nimueh together. And then basically Merlin gets so pissed off that he kills her.
Talia Franks: So basically he gets really pissed off. So he’s, he doesn’t set out to kill her at first. So he like starts like confronting her and then she goes to attack him. So then he restrains her with magic and then she really pisses him off. So then he almost kills her and Arthur tells him not to because Merlin had previously trapped Arthur in a closet so that he wouldn’t be hurt by Nimueh because, you know, he does not have magic to defend himself. And then Nimueh escaped to try to attack Arthur and then Merlin’s well, you best not. And then he struck her down with lightning and then she died. And then Gaius is like, well, you’re really lucky that she doesn’t have any but she doesn’t technically exist.
Talia Franks: So we don’t have to cover up her murder. (DJ laughs)
Talia Franks: Apparently she had been living without a legal identity for 20 years. And then Gaius takes over Avalon and Arthur gives them all the information that Merlin had seen about Uther, really being a dirty magic hating person. And then he gets taken away and then Merlin gets to actually enroll in a Dragonology course and get a degree in Dragonology and live his life as a university student.
Talia Franks: And like his fake life becomes his real life.
DJ: I love it
Talia Franks: They get to move in together with Arthur’s dog and also oh, I almost forgot. I don’t know how I forgot to mention this, but there’s this whole side plot about how they, because for their dragon project, they go visit a dragon range. And Merlin like really connects with the dragons.
Talia Franks: And then when they go to see Hunith they bring one of the dragons with them and then the fic ends with them going to see Huna for the first time in 10 years. And then you don’t actually get to see Merlin reunite with her, but it’s this really sweet moment of Arthur encouraging him.
Talia Franks: And then, yeah. And it’s just like very very cute fic with assassins and dragons. And it’s just it’s just really great.
Talia Franks: The other fic from this series is called Mismatched. And it’s one where it’s Merlin/ Arthur and Mithian/ Gwen fic. So basically
DJ: Okay
Talia Franks: In that one, Mithian asks Gwen out on a date, but Gwen misunderstands and thinks that she’s asking her out on a double date, because she thinks that Mithian is dating Arthur.
Talia Franks: And so Gwen says, yes, pretending that Merlin is her boyfriend
DJ: I love it (DJ laughs)
Talia Franks: But they’re both fake, they’re and so Mithian is says to Arthur, I need you to pretend to be my boyfriend for this double date. And Gwen says to Merlin, I needed to pretend to be my boyfriend for this double date. And so then they go on a double date. We’re not with them or dating each other. And then, so they get to the date and Mithian and Gwen are just spending the whole time talking to each other and Merlin and Arthur are just kind of awkwardly there so then they start talking to each other. And then Mithian and Gwen sorta just go off. And basically they’re like, y’all be good.
Talia Franks: And go off and have their own date and then leave Merlin and Arthur. And then they’re like “guess we’re on a date with each other now.”
DJ: That’s so great.
Talia Franks: And then Merlin and Arthur ended up being on that cute little date. And it’s just, and then they end up being a couple. But yeah, so that’s the, I think I just ended up telling you about five different oneshots,
DJ: so, and I’m going to go read them off people can’t see me, but I’ve been like smiling the entire time, because it sounds incredibly cute and like very much my speed.
Talia Franks: They’re all incredibly cute. It’s like I said they’re all pretty short, but if you read all 15 one shots, it’s literally a hundred thousand words.
DJ: Wow
Talia Franks: Yeah. The Rule of Law, oneshots are really cute. It’s basically like Arthur is this commercial law student. But he’s taking an environmental law class and then he’s in it with Merlin and then he ends up changing, like what kind of law he’s studying.
Talia Franks: And then Uther gets really mad at it because he wants him to be like a corporate lawyer. And like it ends up being it ends up being at, at certain points, funny at other points cute. Other points entertaining. It opens with Merlin pouring and energy drink into coffee, which I do not recommend
DJ: Always a great way to start.
Talia Franks: I do not recommend pouring an energy drink into coffee college mean did it, it was a choice.
Talia Franks: But you know,
Talia Franks: please don’t pour energy drinks into coffee.
DJ: No, especially when you are Merlin, (DJ laughs)
Talia Franks: it’s really too much caffeine. Like it’s like seriously pouring energy drinks into coffee is dangerous, like actually for your health. But also yeah, but that when, but the, but the rule of law fic is like an all-human AU.
Talia Franks: There’s no magic in that one. Yeah, some of these have magic, a lot of them don’t they’re there. But yeah. Anyway, they’re really good. So, any questions about any of the AUs?
DJ: No? I’m definitely. And I know you’re gonna share that like the fic and the writer with the episode. So
Talia Franks: Yeah
DJ: when I go read through
Talia Franks: Yeah this series is called Modern Merthur AUs and it’s by acciomerlin. And they, they update pretty consistently. There’s usually a new one every so often they’re pretty prolific.
Talia Franks: And they’re all just such a joy to read. I haven’t even I haven’t even touched on, the other one that I really loved was The Years Between which is where Merlin and Arthur show up at their 10-year school reunion. And the people at their school reunion don’t know that they’re a couple, because they just remember them being like archrivals or whatever or arch enemies in high school. And it’s a, and that one’s really cute too. (Transition music)
Talia Franks: So where can people find you on the interwebs? Not like where do you live.
DJ: Fair clarification. So I have a website, should that spell it? I guess it’ll be in the thing. DJ is my first and middle initial. And so my website is my full name, donnaliejamnah.com.
DJ: That’s D O N N A L I E J A M N A H. And you can find like some of my writing and also some of my design there and it’s, it’s portfolio site. So it’s like a hodgepodge of everything, but it’s a good place to contact me for whatever you want to collab on something. And then just sort of more informally, you can find me on Twitter and Instagram @talespinningdj at T A L E spinning DJ.
Talia Franks: Well, thanks again for being on and it’s such a fun time. Thank you.
DJ: Thanks Talia!
